Paul and Tim Hurst started Factory 15 Design Studio in March 2000 to provide an outlet for their metal wall art. The PM Reprise, an homage to Piet Mondrian, was the first wall sculpture made at the studio. Since then the brothers have produced many wall pieces and sculptures that are displayed in private homes and galleries both in the United States and abroad. The art runs the gamut of styles with a particular interest in geometric art and Eames style mid-century modern design. Factory 15 prides itself on its bold use of color and the fine quality of all the art produced at the studio.
Although Paul and Tim work jointly on many larger projects they each have a very definite sense of their own style which is quite apparent in their individual works. Paul is a master of detail and geometric design. He also does most of the freestanding sculptures produced by the studio. Tim's primary focus is color whether it be in sculpture or his acrylic paintings. Both brothers are very influenced by Pop art in all its forms but their influences are certainly not limited to that genre.
Each work is handmade at Factory 15 and signed by the artist. Factory 15 also does commissioned work, sculpture and hanging art, for home and corporate customers.
